In a stunning development, real estate mogul Frik de Meyere has been detained for questioning by police in connection with the murder of Ricardo Borja. Borja, a former business associate of de Meyere, had recently turned informant for the Lands Department.
Sources suggest Borja was killed shortly after a recording of his incriminating statement was leaked. The victim was scheduled to testify in court on August 22 but was fatally attacked on August 19, just days before his crucial appearance.
